Bridge-Building Strategies in Schools

Book Festivals:

  • Fun entry-level events held in an elementary school for kids and families.

  • Promotes literacy and makes learning fun.

  • Activities include science experiments, crafts, face painting, balloon animals, book distribution, food, special guests and prizes!

  • Best of all, everything is FREE to students and families!

Successful Book Festivals involve children and parents receiving books and leaving the Book Festival excited about reading and learning.  Through Book Festivals, relationships are established and the door is opened for churches and neighborhoods to support schools and families.

"Sandy Cunningham taught me what it means to care for children in poverty.  She has been the driving force in leading our church to be on mission to the public schools in the poorest parts of our town.  You can trust Sandy.  She's the real deal."

Kids Club in the Park

Kids Club in the Park is a summer outreach near the local elementary school and is sponsored by the neighborhood church.  It is a great way to build a bridge from the church to the neighborhood to show love and build relationships.  It is also a great way to build bridges and relationships between churches so kids see groups working together to support them in their personal and academic lives.

Kids Club in the Park consists of serving food and providing games, crafts, Bible stories, prizes and music.  We advertise Kids Club for children entering Kindergarten-6th grade and their families.

Everything is FREE and everyone is welcome!

Kids Club is a great kickoff for the neighborhood church's Vacation Bible School.

The opportunities are unlimited and fueled only by your imagination and passion!
